    Hi Meg

You didn't say where the quiz night is held. What is your boys name I may have went to school with him?

Sorry Stuart - the Grant Arms is our hostelry of choice - mein host(ess) Mary treats us extremely well (and she makes a cracking pot of soup). My son is Ian Gordon - Stanley Primary, Ardrossan Academy.

    Stuart,

I have no memorabilia but this site has taught me how to interrogate the world wide web.

Incidentally, I met David on a number of occasions and 'taciturn' would be a good word to describe him. He kept most of his flair and genius for the pitch.

Andy Auld was discussed in an earlier topic, 'THREETOWNERS WHO HAVE PLAYED IN THE WORLD CUP'. You can pick it up easily by word searching his name.

that was some game against the 'lie, aye I was there, was at the game in borrheid when we took the lead to infuriate the locals before they equalised, think we went down 8.3 at winton park after leading a few times. Was in the old shed with the barmy army and they must have had about 200 nutters against our 30. as danny dire would say it was pwopa nawty

mind you giving me a lift up to largs once when you had the escort XR3i, didnt think we could get to largs that fast

will dig out all the old programmes, they are in box files up the loft

Stuart i`ve got a Rangers programme somewhere with you on the front cover. Is my memory playing tricks with me or did i see you play in a game against Aberdeen at Ibrox where Aberdeen won 3-0 and there was a bit of a pitch invasion?

Aye there was a programme when i was on the front page and Davie Cooper was behind me, think it was the Rangers v Falkirk programme-played at Ibrox v Aberdeen but it was 1-1 draw, Joe Miller scored for them and Hughie Burns scored for us!! Hughie is now running the Central Bar in Prestwick and has renamed it 'The Burns' spoke to him a couple of weeks ago-seems to be doing well.
