    Copy & paste not working

Postby Bob Bryden » Fri Oct 28, 2011 7:43 am

:hi: I've been trying to compile a query regarding identifying the source of a medallion I've received from my Aunt Ruth in Selkirk, Scotland. The medallion belonged to her late husband, my Uncle Bill, the youngest of Dad's 2 brothers.

My problem is that I cannot copy & paste the code for the thumbnail of the photobucket hosted photo of the medallion. This problem is not unique as it has become common on my computer - the 'copy' command is visible but whether it's working or not is another matter. The 'paste' command is usually dimmed & refuses to work :x Anyone have any ideas of a solution ?

I've done a google search but so far no solution even though quite a few people seem to have experienced the same problem.

The medallion, by the way, is small & circular. Around the rim are the words "For Loyal Service". In the middle is a crown below which are the letters "GR & either I or J(not sure which)". I assume the "GR" stands for "George Regina". I just want to identify the source of the medallion & what "Loyal Service" it was issued for. I wondered whether there was some connection with my late uncle's war service (WW2) as I also inherited his war service medals including a Burma Star following his death last year.

Bob, if you have the image already in your computer, you can upload it as an attachment.

Ellen, I was thinking of an e. mail, it was you that mentioned 3trs, but it would work for both. :D

The problem seems to have fixed itself as I'm not aware that anything I tried has worked. Mind you that's by no means the first time that's happened.
