    keyboard

    Postby morag » Thu Mar 01, 2012 5:34 pm

My cat, the spazzy one, got on my keyboard. When I picked him up to get him off it, he pulled up several keys, worst cases the ghjkt, especially gh. I managed to push them back in place but gh still troublesome. I've tried brute force, had to hire a brute, but to no avail. Now I have to really force these keys for them to work. This setback along with my poor typing skills irks me no end..there's me pushing hard on g or h and nothing showing up so with true Scots grit (and grrr, but mibbe that's the same!) I persevere only to find gggggggggggg or hhhhhhh. Any ideas appreciated, btw, it's a laptop, can you get a keyboard switch? I've got callouses on my two index fingers 'cos of this!

If the problem continues, you might consider buying a keyboard for a few dollars and plugging it in to one of the laptop's usb sockets.

Thanks George! Wouldn't quite be as portable but a lot less frustrating!
