Hi my name is Kieran Dickson I am 14 years old and stay in Stevenston. Me and my friends love going to the black forest and taking pics of old shelters and buildings. We do not cause any trouble, we just love see history. It's very annoying when a guard sees you because they think you're a little ned just because you're wearing joggies or track suit buttoms.

Hi Kieran, I can identify with both your points. A long time ago when I was slightly younger than you we used to try to find the tunnel linking the castle on Castle Hill (Ardrossan) with the watch tower at Montford Farm - a distance as the crow flies of at least a mile. I don't think they would have had the equipment to ventilate a tunnel that long so there must have been air holes along its route but we never found any. The entrance to the tunnel at the castle was blocked by a steel door and the watch tower was also blocked up - I wonder if it is still standing?

Hi, I was born in Argyle Road, Saltcoats, parents Lyn and Netta Seabury. Went to Jack's Road Primary then Ardrossan Academy, left in 1973. Travelled around a bit over the years, now settled in Bathgate, West Lothian. Still visit Saltcoats occasionally. Parents moved to Largs a few years ago.
