The situation is further complicated because of human rights legislation and also that local authorities have a legal obligation to house the homeless.Part of the joys of belonging to the EEC.

Hmmm. I also wonder about the "rights" of current GOOD residents to live peacefully, and without threat of danger?

Have to agree with Morag: if enough people actually get together, something could well be done !!

As more and more people have to move homes because of this, it is bound to fire people up !!

Yep. Or "in a meeting", "on the 'phone right now", etc., etc.

YUP caley court is an addiction centre..also mental health welfare , social work and help disabled people...
Yes i attend there to see my psychiatrist who has helped me go from a very bad state of psychosis to a reasonably relaxed normal state...i dont harm myself anymore, i have more confidence and places like this have helped immensely when i am in a bad way....AND here it comes....about 16 years ago i started using drugs as i was homeless..now i know old people catch cold easily, but like the winter is just now, its easy to catch hypothermia in your sleep if you are lucky to get an hour or 2 sleep...as i had no way to sleep i developed a drug habit as a means of getting that extra warmth and sleep and feeling of not being just a useless bum as i was being treated..i was beaten a lot in those days, and i had no access to clean clothes or washing...maybe thats why you should think about why someone looks like they do b4 you put your head down at them..anyway to cut it short i developed schizophrenia after first trying a paracetamol overdose 2 years later....psychosis is not a nice thing..im not even gonna try and explain it...just imagine a thousand things your worried about in your head then add a bit of wondering if people can hear your thought and being positive your heart is on its way out any second...that is so scary i wouldve played russian roullette 2 or 3 times in exchange to go back to normality..i eventually tried opiates..like codiene and dihydrocodiene, morphineand eventually fell in with someone who offered shelter but offered heroin too..taking advantage of me...i did commit crimes once i was addicted..but since ive been prescribed substitute drugs and antipsychotics..im better the guy i would be right now.

Hi, caught up in it. I hope you eventually make it through your own personal nightmare and perhaps, hopefully, decide to make a difference to other people's lives. I wish you well and am happy to have a chat on here anytime if you like.

This is a forum where we meet friends and help each other.

It must have taken a fair bit of guts to open up like that.

If you need a listening ear ....
