    Hi Incomer, welcome.

I've long thought that the federal option would be best.

Love your 'whatevertheycallit' at the bottom of your posts. I identify with it exactly. Reminds me of the one, 'if it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.'

    Just one question:
And where, exactly, would you's keep your nuclear weapons, in this "Federal UK" ?

I agree with independence from the UK - but if independence means joining the EU then I'd rather have Scotland part of the UK.

The UK will end up on its bended knees begging to be allowed to join the Euro-zone.

When Maggie said no, we could have joined at more than 4 pounds to the Euro. We're about 1.2 now.

The Euro is here to stay and if you think that in the long run sterling will be able to compete with the Euro, the Dollar, the Yen and the Yaun and the Brazilian Peso, (I think), then you are seriously misguided.

    Get used to the idea.

    JD.

I'll say it again; throw the emotion overboard and use your own old grey matter. Britain is not big enough these days to go it alone.

I think the EU is crumbling as well as the UK.

Also, despite wanting Independence, I don't really want to be a member of the EU. Alex Salmond said there would be a vote on it after Independence. There again, depends which government we have after Independence in our first election and their policies. :?

More statements of opinion, without any arguments to back them up. WHY do you think the EU is crumbling / is not here to stay?

Is it because you read it in the paper?

Convince me you are right and I am wrong. I really mean convince me that you have the better argument than me.

Where are your arguments, proofs, to support your statements John?

Last but not least. The worst type of unionist. Liberals.
Or, as some people refer to them, The Randy Neighbour.
Always planning who's bed they will jump into next.
Even this Tory supporting rag has their measure:

BTW: I refer to them as the worst type of unionists. Out of the 3 Westminster parties, they are.
I am NOT including fascist scum such as the BNP or the Brit Nats, UKIP.
(These 2 are not main Westminster parties, yet)

Yes, it is an opinion John as is yours and could ask you the same question as Morag says. The EU is not the same as it was when the UK first joined.

More countries have joined since then, which is good in a way but it also brings it's difficulties/troubles/debts.

It's people's opinions brought together that makes changes, there are many around the internet feel the same about the EU and I'm sure if the UK gave us a vote to opt out, it would be a 'Yes'. But they won't do that as the UK has had many rebates from the EU and would have to pay that back, I believe. :puter

This is the UK's Eurozone debt.

This is probably THE most important article I have come across, regarding our right to
self-determination. It is a lengthy read but worth it.
