I believe it's time to celebrate rather than cover up (or be made to feel ashamed of) those differences. We are all, nationally wise, guilty of British transgressions, I don't want to be any more.

That's your choice. But I really wouldn't be making such an important decision on Scotland based on a dislike of a party leader.
Through the years & history, people have voted for whatever 'Party' as a whole due to their policies, political view, strengths or beliefs etc despite not liking their Leader.
It's not about voting for Alex Salmond, it's about Independence for Scotland.
I don't like all of Alex Salmond and putting that aside, I have to admit he is a good politician. He speaks with such passion, loyalty, commitment etc for Scotland. He is a more experienced politician than the Coalition government, Labour etc and he knows more about Scottish politics than those at Westminster.
Can you imagine if the vote was 'no' and where it would leave us with Westminster. They're going to make sure we are never in this situation again on Independence, they will change things to make sure we don't. There will still be reserved matters and control from Westminster, they may even possibly take away 'powers' from Scotland.
I'm sure we will be worse off with Westminster if the vote is 'no'. Seriously think about it.
I'd suggest to all to look into the debate from all sides, read comments, forums and things on the internet, history, Scotland Bill, articles etc before making a decision. I respect whatever people may vote but as long as it is an 'informed' one and you've looked at the whole thing very seriously.
