    Hi Lynda

My goodness those are names from the past! Hope you're well. Do you remember the day when me and Margaret Sweeney moved one of the concrete blocks form the rd and put it back on the green and it fell on my foot? ouch! Ah those were the days.

The Pettigrews I know lived at the corner of Fleming Cres and Burns Ave. I lived at 37 Burns Ave.I remember Alex as he was around my age.If memory serves me I remeber my parents saying they were related to our Seggies thru marraige but have not come across the info in my research.
I well remember 'kick the can'-got in some trouble with that once A neighbour- did not approve and chased me all the way back to my house -I got a right telling off

annie(my grandmother) and grace were half sisters, they had the same father, graces mother had been his housekeeper. he had been married three times and had a family with each wife, in fact annies mother was his second wife, and had only been dead few weeks when he married graces mother. my gran told me they had many brothers and sisters and lived on a farm in crawfordjohn, i think it was called blair house..are you related to grace,s side or her husbands ?

Hi Isabel. I am related thru the Seggie /Stewart line.My Gran was Rachel Seggie -Wilfred's was her nephew. So I guess that makes him my 1st cousin 1x removed or something. She married John Stewart [of A1 buses!] They lived on Border Ave.

I think the last time I saw Grace was late 90's.i visited her and Fiona with my young son Iain.Had to watch him like a hawk due to all Grace's lovely knick knack's in their living room-I was scared he'd break something,[it was NOT child proofed:-)] I liked Grace she had not had it easy with Fiona and Lillian! It was thru Wilfred I got a lot of the startup for my Genealogy-he had started looking into his Seggies-and there were a lot!!

Gen. is my obssesion :-) I did find a bit about your Blairs -if your interested?
Robert's 1st wife was Jane Fletcher they had 3 children-Maggie James and Archie.2nd wife was Catherine King[where Annie's middle name came from!]She brought 2 children from prev marriage-John and Gavin McKay:Robert and she added Katie,Annie and Robert to their family-They seem to be in the Dalzeil/Motherwell area. Then he married #3- Grace Chalmers, she had a prev child Catherine Brown. And Robert and she had Grace. In 1911 census they lived at 25 Blairhill Crawfordjohn.
So you were right about the 'many Brother and sisters'!

As I said if your interested I do have a tree listed on Ancestry .com.and most of my findings are there.
' Stewart/Jarvis tree' It's a combination of my Paternal and Maternal line, also my husband's -rather larger Paternal/Maternal line.
