This thing stinks to high heaven. The powers that be in Westminster and the USA have a lot to answer for.
Kenny McCaskell was merely a scapegoat IMHO. And Scotland's "Compassion Law" was a godsend....

Now they want to debate it! The man has gone! Kenny was given the job of making the decission by ???? One man should not have been given that authority especially in such a sensitive case. But it is too late and the Scottish Government must now live with it and take the rath that comes at them.

I think a lot of the wrath is being kicked up by the media - but and it is a big but - I think the FBI has no right to criticise another country's legal system. I, for one, am VERY proud to be a Scot and the way that our Justice Minister stood up to bullying by the World's Policemen. By the way, noticed in our Sunday paper yesterday that the one American guy who was found guilty for the massacre at Mi Lai (Sp?) in Vietnam and who was sentenced to life, served less than 3 years under house arrest, then was given his freedom. Could that possibly have been compassion???

All over the world Politics is dirty. What the Scottish Government has got themselves into and who started it is their problem.The Scottish People are the salt of the earth and everyone knows that. Why are we so acceptable and liked through out the world? "Wha's like us?"

Just watched Margo McDonald being interviewed by the BBC - she said that she had checked all the national US Sunday papers and Megrahi wasn't mentioned on ANY of the front pages. Just a thought - our big brother neighbours are whipping this up into a frenzy - maybe they are getting some feeling of satisfaction in beating up their little brother.
