Hello Hughie, Just checked marriage certificate for Samuel Allan Clark & Jessie Boyce , this was in 1916, Her parents are given as John Boyce, dock labourer [deceased], and Jessie BLACKWOOD, previously BOYCE, m.s MCCRACKEN, does this tie-in with what you have?

Thanks, Del. Yes that's the one. After John Boyce's death, Jessie married Thomas Stirrat Blackwood and four more children were born.

Is that Thomas Stirrat Blackwood 1869 grandparents Thomas Stirrat 1808 and Isabella Scott 1816. Have him married to a Mary ? c1872 Ardrossan ,then Jessie McCracken.Goes back to Robert Scott c1717 in Stanley and Janet Wright c1717 in Ardrossan.
