This is the first entry in threetowners Guest Book. I enjoyed putting
together these pages and although it's been time consuming it's been a
learning experience that I've enjoyed immensely. I hope you can gain as
much enjoyment from these pages as I have gained in constructing them.

Hi List, I'm Bill love from Fla. My family came to Stevenston from
Kilwinning in 1776, and my direct line left in 1867. I am the GGG-grandson
of the Poet and Songwriter Francis Love. I have never been to the
3-Towns, but by reading the comments I feel as if I know it well. Hope
to get there within the next few years. Keep up the good work. Bill Love

isabella Park Kerr was born in Ardrossan, Ayr, Scotland, 16 Aug 1874.
She married Robert Rigby born in Springburn, Lanark, Scotland, 8 Oct
1872. Children of this couple were: Janet (Jeanette) Hunter b. 1901 d.
1992 Georgina Thompson b. 1903 d. 1964 [my wife's mother] Isabella Park
Kerr b. 1905 d. 1996 Martha b. 1907 d. 1972 Catherine K. b. 1909 d. 1996
John b. 1912 Robert b. 1914 d. 1990 All the girls were born in Scotland;
the boys in the USA. Therefore family must have emigrated between 1909
and 1912. Am trying to trace this family backwards. Any helpful hints
greatly appreciated. Tom Denny

Hi Hugh,
Your WWW is fantastic! I've just spent several wonderful hours over the
past 3-days in a timewarp soaking-up the history of my folks' old
stomping grounds. Thank you so much. I only wish I was armed with your
info when I visited the three towns in 1997 for the first time. In fact
as I write this I'm thinking of a return visit, inspired by your web
site.
I've been working on my family genealogy for the past
4-years and find I'm blessed with many threetowners and quite a few from
the surrounding environs, in the family tree dating back to 1790 [so
far]. Thanks again for sharing your labour of love. Bill

I was delighted to find this sight, as my husband and I are both
originally from Saltcoats. We now live in New Jersey, USA. My maiden
name was Currie and married Jim Gillespie, and we both still have a lot
of family over in Saltcoats and Ardrossan. Very nicely done sight!!!
Thank you.

I have been in Canada for 46 years and prior to that I was in Egypt for
three and a half years, so I have been away from the "three towns
" for a long time! It is great to know that there is a vehicle with
which, we can "keep in touch" Professor
William (Billy) MacPhail Ex Ardrossan.

Hello Hugh, just added your site to my 'favorites'. My family all came
from threetowns and surrounding areas. GGG grandfather gets a mention in
Pigots directory, in miscellaneous as: Robert Gilmour Auctioneer. I have
the family genealogy back to 1725. Love the newspaper clips!. Brilliant
idea this web site, keep it going. Yours Aye Irene Stirling.

I lived in Ardrossan from 1944 to 1962 and went to Ardrossan Academy
From 1957 to 1962 I still love to visit when I can and look round my old
childhood haunts. What a beautifull place to have had a childhood I
spent many happy days playing on Castle Hill. My father worked for Shell
and I would like to hear from anyone who knew me or my father. Oliver
